Sash Windows
Projects Oxford

  • Name: Heather Aspinall – Tea for Two
  • Location: Dorchester-on-Thames
  • Cost: £14,500
  • Project Details: This was a refurbishment of an ancient commercial property whose current incarnation is as a tearoom but there has been a hostelry on this site for over 500 years. We had to work closely with the Listings Officer to authentically replicate the windows and the owner was delighted with the look and even more delighted with the soundproofing and thermal regulation in her sunny, streetside location.

  • Name: James Castell
  • Location: Summertown
  • Cost: £9,250
  • Project Details: James had purchased a lovely townhouse which had been let for some years to students so had clearly seen better days. We renewed all of the sash windows bar two which were saveable and have upgraded the look of the house to something crisp and contemporary inside but with all the traditional exterior design aesthetic that you expect from this type of Oxford property. No more draughty rooms, James!

Happy Sash Window
Customers in Oxford

Matthew Carswell

We bought an apartment in an old industrial conversion on the edge of Oxford, great conversion but we just didn’t like the windows the developer used, they didn’t seem to look right and the quality was poor. We replaced them following recommendations from the team at nivonix.work with something that suited the style of the building much better plus they were timber, not plastic, so it seemed to age the look without losing any of the contemporary vibe we really love. The window company were excellent, efficient, and pleasant and everything was completed on time.

Bina Ford

I bought a crumbling old Oxford terraced house with some inherited money to do up and rent out to students, initially for my son who’s studying medicine but then as an income generator once he moves on. The current windows were plastic and awful so it was nice to be able to strip back and refit something more period and traditional but without losing the soundproofing and thermal regulation. The design team were excellent, the windows fitted perfectly and were delivered on the timeline that we agreed. Great service and a great product.

I wonder if anybody does anything at Oxford
but dream

The writer and poet, Yeats, wasn’t the only person who was mesmerised by Oxford and okay, sash windows are a bit more prosaic, but we like to think it’s our contribution to the dreaming spires.
