We’ve been patrons of the Watford Gap service station on the M1 for several decades, admittedly, not quite as long as it’s been there – it’s the oldest motorway service station in the UK, opening in 1959 – but almost. Our jaunts up and down the M1 are the stuff of legends! We’ve supplied 32 new sash windows for fine old houses, character cottages and contemporary dwellings across the Rose of the Shires. Our projects include supplying new sash windows for a traditional home on a rather famous estate (ssh… you know who) right down to a tiny, odd-sized single-hung sash for a cellar bar in the centre of Northampton. We make all our windows, so no job is too large, too small, or, frankly, too odd – our expert team have heard and seen it all!

We’ve had the pleasure of supplying windows for some of the nicest homes and best companies in the UK.
Northampton and the surrounding towns and villages are a vital part of our success story, so in 2019, we opened an office here on Abington Street.
We can match existing paint colours, so your new timber sash windows blend perfectly with those already there. We offer an infinite variety of shades of off-white with different undertones to complement perfectly older properties and period homes. All our paints are chosen for their durability and weather resistance.
Our sister company, William Richards will always refurbish and restore old windows if they haven’t reached the point where they are beyond repair. Every window is carefully assessed, the expert team at William Richards discuss precisely what steps are needed with the customer. Subtle upgrades like new lightweight glazing and weatherproof paint are all carefully designed to fit in with the style and character of the property and all the windows will match so no one will be able to spot the restoration.
Our complete new sash windows comply fully with building regulations. New sashes fitted into their existing frames do not have to comply as this work is classified as refurbishment. Listed buildings are subject to different rules. We will work closely with your local listings officer to ensure we stay on the right side of the listing regulations whilst delivering something authentically correct for the building.
