- Project Details: We were involved with a major commercial refurbishment of an old textile factory in the centre of Leicester after our successful tender for the window element of the project. We worked closely with the council and lead architect to create stunningly authentic sash windows faithful to the originals whilst also using modern techniques and materials like optimal energy-efficient glazing and brush draughtproofing. This was a great example of when old and new come together to bring a derelict building back to life for a new purpose.

- Project Details: Heather commissioned us to replace a tiny, odd-shaped sash window in her listed cottage in Foxton. It was one of our most complex and challenging projects because of the amount of historical research needed. It was a real task to create this design and use modern materials like new thermal glazing as the tiny space didn’t leave much room for manoeuvre. However, the result is amazing, and Heather is completely delighted by the thought and detail that has gone into something which was not a large or high-value project.

Do you offer help with measuring up for new sash windows?
We can talk you through the process of measuring up before you place your order; our friendly team are always ready to help. We offer lots of advice to assist customers in capturing the relevant information – pictures, and a short clip of any unusual features taken on your device is a good tip when it’s difficult to explain something.
How do you match new timber sliding sash windows with other restored windows and doors?
We will match perfectly based on design, choice of timber and paint colour. All our new windows are made by hand in our workshops, so we can create any odd size or unique feature to faithfully replicate what was there before or reinstate period features which have been missing from later windows.
I need several new sash windows; do you offer finance or payment terms?
We are always happy to have an open conversation about budget. There are often lots of ways to bring down the cost without impacting quality, like staggering the work. If you are over budget, then we also offer flexible finance terms to help manage the cost, and we will always help customers who find themselves in an emergency, like after a fire or flooding.
